Odds are the problem is the vacuum hose or its end connections, the drain valve, or the door gasket. Based upon my experience I'd double check the fittings while installed on the FDer.
The only downside is that the interior is now so cold that defrost time has doubled! I use a large high volume fan to defrost the unit, not the heat trays. It used to be a 15 minute job, now it is closer to 30 minutes.

I did wonder though, since this is gravity flow and not pressure driven as on a car, if having the filter mounted horizontally might result in using only "half" the filter, as the oil would tend to travel through the low side Buy Now of the filter -- although in practice, I suppose, as the filter material gets plugged it would force the fluid level higher.
Options: consumer choices for this appliance are currently limited. There are few companies making “home” freeze dryers, laboratory freeze dryers are built for scientific sampling so may not work as well for food, and the small commercial “pilot study” freeze dryers tend to be larger than those marketed for home use.

Since they were IQF raspberries I assumed that they would be individual - but apparently when you leave them in the trunk of your car long enough to thaw, then put them back in the freezer - then take a couple of days to get them over to me - they are no longer going to resemble individual raspberries.
